Smarthistory.org is the largest free online art history resource with thousands of essays and videos made for high school and college students. I am a contributing editor for material related to art and architecture in colonial Brazil and the rest of the Portuguese empire in the early modern period (c.1450-1800).

in Reframing Art History

Reframing Art History ​is an open-access, fully online art history textbook geared toward high school and undergraduate audiences. The textbook is a collaboration between over 40 scholars and features dozens of chapters that depart from the Eurocentric canon-focused structure of traditional textbooks. 

My chapter explores art and architecture created as a result of Portuguese maritime travel c. 1400-1800.
